About DreamStar

DreamStar is a sci-fantasy minecraft SMP inspired by old alien fantasy aesthetics, such as The Neverending Story, The Dark Cyrstal, and even the Aether Mod. This is a personal/private pack project, and may take some time to be completed.
Main mod highlights may include Botainia, Aether, The Twilight Forest, Custom Origins (with custom sizes via Pehkui), and more. The pack will be 1.19.2 Quilt/Fabric.

The focus will be on exploration of various dimensions, and finding a home for yourself in a plethora of magical biomes across multiple dimensions.

Bio

Sweet_K, or "Kakes" to his friends, is the main mascot and host of DreamstarFM, an online radio station that specializes in Indie EDM. He considers himself very esoteric and eccenteric. He tries to uphold a "cool" facade, but has a silly side he can't fully hide - he's embarassed of this, despite it being one of his greatest charms. He'll always be there for his friends, and even strangers who need him.

Origins

Origins mod is used in this pack to create gameplay variety - however, the original nine of the mod have been replaced with four layers: "ancestral origins", "affinity origins", "size", and lastly, "skillsets" - which affect how you interact with the evironment and other players, and how they effect you in return.

Ancestral Origins

The Ancestral origins dictate what you are, on a basic level. They are closer to "elements" than to a species, and effect gameplay the most, as they determine your weaknesses and strengths, and will likely alter what you build and how you interact with others. Some entities mention an ancestor, which is where this layer of origins gets it's name from. Entires in "quotes" will likely have their names changed over time, and are still works in progress.

Sugared

Sugared entities sparkle with an alien "sugary" substance, that often shakes off like glitter. They are sparkly, and dissolve in water, so rain and swimming are ill-advised. Consumning sweets effects their size, causing them to have strict diets to maintain a proper shape, and avoid eating themselves out of house and home. Being made of magical sugar, they can caramelize when exposed to heat, giving them increased defense in the form of "Brittle Shells". They can still be burned, but they have a higher heat tolerance than most.

"Lucky"

Blessings shine down on these entities, blessed with unusual luck and fortune in all that they do - at a cost. While these fortunate entities are lucky, iron is a poison to them, and weakens their defenses and strength to even be around it. Iron tools deal more damage, and only gold will do. Enchanting and other costs are less, but acquiring anything underground is a tremendous task. The nether is worse, as any unholy thing will take away many of their blessings, and netherite is worse for them than iron. To their advantage, they can survive all falls.

"Timepeice"

Ruled by the hour, Timepeice entities change abilities depending on what time it is, gaining buffs and abilities for each section of the clock. All have a certain favorite way to tell the time, and usually have their own clock.

"Morpho"

Morpho entities are known for their abilities to change and alter themselves to suit their environment and the elements around them. They can change with "Molts", and with these changes can choose between various types of defensive and immunity buffs, but at the cost of also weakening other abilities.

"Binary"

These Binary entities are in a constant "0" or "1" state - never in an in-between. They are like statues in their "0" state, they are unable to take conventional damage, but also unable to move or interact. In their "1" state, they can move swiftly and strike hard, but take much more damage by extension. Pickaxes will always deal more damage than swords or axes to these.

2. Kindred Origins

The Kindred origins dictate what animal you have an affinity with - which grants you certain abilities. Unlike Ancestral origins, these origins have no 'drawbacks', and are a couple of small abilities and buffs based around the animal. Typically, each Kindred has an ability that is bound to a keybind, a passive mob ability, and an enhanced ability.

Why the FM? A side aspect to the server, I'm hoping I can get an online radio set up to play some atmospheric indie electronic, with small broadcasts about the server in-between.I don't have that set up (yet), so have some doodly stuff here in the meantime.
